Ms. Bernadette Basemera
Berna has over twenty years’ experience in management, mentorship, teaching, and finance. She has written and presented papers at several national and international conferences and she has been involved in supporting and coordinating the integration of palliative care in medical and nursing curriculum through the APCA projects. Her clinical expertise and knowledge of palliative care has contributed greatly in cascading the integration of palliative care into teaching institutions in Africa and advocacy at different levels.
Mr. Simon Kaggwa
Simon has over eight years of practical experience in taxation, budget analysis, financial reporting, finance for SMEs, auditing, work plan flow management, aged debt analysis and review, and management of financial systems. He is a serving member of Café Africa Uganda, working as Head of Finance and Administration
Simon is a Certified Public Accountant with a Post Graduate Diploma in Revenue Administration and Taxation, and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Makerere University. He is currently pursuing an internal audit certification at the Institute of Internal Auditors Uganda.
Dr. Ludoviko Zirimenya
Ludo is a member of a Uganda National Council of Science and Technology Research and Ethics committee at Hospice Africa Uganda. Ludo is a medical doctor and research scientist at Medical Research Council/Uganda Virus Research Institute, and London School of Tropical medicine and Hygiene Uganda Research Unit in Entebbe. In this capacity, he leads clinical trials in the field of vaccines that are looking at how different populations in Uganda respond to commonly used vaccines.
Ludo has supported health policy and advocacy efforts in Uganda and other African countries including Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya and Malawi.
Dr. Adam Harvey
Adam has specialized in rural development in Africa and Asia over the past 25 years, focusing on water and sanitation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. He has advised governments on improved regulation and has developed practical Public-Private Partnership frameworks, most recently in the WASH sector.
Adam holds an MA from Oxford University in Economics and Sociology and PhD in Engineering from Warwick University, UK.
